Suspension
The features of the TUZA rubber suspension axle include the square outer tube which houses four separate rubber cords at each end of the axle. This provides 120 degree angles in which the rubber cord can roll. The wider angles optimize the shock absorption capability by allowing increased swing arm travel. The axle offers fully independent suspension and eliminates side to side shock transfer. This suspension offers capacities from 750kgs to 4,500kgs per unit. This suspension is highly regarded and has been used on every TUZA float since 1964.Benefits of Genuine Tuza Rubber Torsion Bar Suspension
- Cushions bumps and rough spots better and with less bouncing than leaf springs.
- Do not require additional lubrication or maintenance once fitted.
- Works independently for each wheel, the road impacts to one side of the trailer is not transferred to the other.
- If you have a flat tyre, the remaining three wheels will maintain the trailer until you can get to a safe place to change the tyre.
- They provide a lower loading height compared to leaf springs.
- They provide a significantly smoother ride for the horse, trailer, tow vehicle and driver.
- The Suspension along with the frame and chassis are backed by Tuza’s Five Year Warranty.
Benefits of Welding Vs Pop Rivets
Welding on trailers is better than pop rivets because:- The trailer has a smooth exterior appearance by eliminating the multiple rows of rivets used to attach the steel sheeting to the frame.
- The joints are sealed eliminating the possibility of water getting between two sheets. Rivets tend to leak and leave rust trails under the rivet.
- The stress due to road vibration is distributed evenly over the entire joint. Mechanical fasteners tend to concentrate the stress in the local area and loosen over time.
- The strength of the primary structure is not violated by drilling multiple holes to attach the steel sheeting.
